3 Weeks old

Roman and Vivienne are growing like crazy. Roman was too long for preemie  clothes right from the start, but is still too small for newborn. Now, as of yesterday Vivienne is too long for any preemie clothes with feet. I can't believe how much they have grown in 3 weeks!

Vivienne has decided she does not like to sleep at night, and she was until this week the 'good' sleeper. Now, Roman is the one to sleep 4 hours at a time. Vivienne just fusses and fusses. Both babies are hating tummy time, unless they are being held on our chest. Vivienne can lift her head for a second or two but Roman is very strong and will lift his big head and look around. I put him in his crib for a nap the other day and when I came in to check on him he rotated almost 180 degrees?!

Gabe goes back to work tonight, and I am very scared of how I'm going to handle two babies all night. Especially since they are waking up at different times. I have a plan though and it includes a nice lavender bath for each baby before their last feeding of the evening. Hopefully that will help them sleep at least 4 hours each so I can manage them at 1:30am.

2 weeks old

The twins are a whole 2 weeks old today. We are still trying to get them to eat/ sleep on the same schedule
and for more than 3 hours at a time at night. The last two photos are my favorite because they look like they're talking to each other:)

1st check up

Vivienne had her first check up on Friday and Roman just had his yesterday. Luckily, both babies had passed their birth weights by the time they left the hospital, which is great. The dr's made it sound like that was not normal. Vivienne started at 4 lbs 7 oz at birth and is now 4lbs 9oz. Roman started at 5lbs 9 oz and is a whoping 5lb 12 oz. Our pediatrician is awesome, she is very sweet and listened to all of our questions. She also encouraged us to call anytime 24 hrs with any questions or concerns. She says both babies are 'perfect'
what mother doesn't want to hear that.

I also have to say thanks to my wonderful parents and inlaws. My mom hung out most of the day today so Gabe could run errands. And, Gabe and I were able to have a 'date' tonight. This is something we haven't done in weeks, since I've been on bed rest. My mother in law was nice enough to sit with the twins while we went out. Jake came by today for a snuggle, Jorge stopped but the babies slept through his whole visit:(
In deep thought...

1 week and a day

The last two nights have been a challenge with both babies at home. Luckily, my parents stopped by today so I could get some rest. Just having them here made me relax.

I'm still very tired so I'll just post some pictures.

We went for our first walk today, just to the corner and back:)

Roman likes to cuddle, just like dad;)

We're Scheduled!

I should have known something was up, when the caller ID showed my doctors office number. It's 7pm? She said she spoke to the Dr from the ultrasound place and our baby girl is not growing enough. So, she wants us to go in on Sunday night to get some meds to get my cervix ready. Then on Monday morning she will break my water and start pitocin. Wow, I thought I was ready for them to come but now reality is sinking in and Sunday is only 3 days away! I'm ready to meet these two, I just hope they are healthy, I will only be 36 weeks and 2 days by Monday. The doctor says she will gain weight faster if she is out though, so they believe this is what is best.

35 Weeks

Alright, I'm now of the medication to stop contractions but they don't seem to be an issue yet. I had my NST (non-stress test) this morning and I was hooked up for about an hour and only had 2 small contractions. The babies looked great though and they were moving around like little maniacs!

I'm really starting to get cabin fever, I've started sleeping during the day, everyday, and when I wake up I feel so worthless. Like I should be doing something but, there's really not anything to do. My mom's coming over tomorrow after my dr appt, it will be nice to have some company.

To kill time I started a pregnancy scrap book, but my printer took a crap this morning? It was working fine last night so I don't know what's going on? I have had it for 7 years, maybe that's the problem:) It's done this before, so I'm hoping it will just magically start working again.
